China’s truck crane was born in the 1970s. After nearly 30 years of development, there have been three major technical improvements during the period, namely the introduction of Soviet technology in the 1970s, the introduction of Japanese technology in the 1980s, and the introduction of technology in the 1990s. German technology. But in general, China’s truck crane industry has always been on the road of independent innovation and has its own clear development context. Especially in recent years, China’s truck crane industry has made great progress, although compared with foreign countries There is a certain gap, but this gap is gradually narrowing. Moreover, the performance of China’s small and medium tonnage truck cranes is already intact, which can meet the requirements of actual production.
my country’s truck crane industry has gone through a development process from imitation to independent research and development, from small load capacity to large load capacity. In the early stage of development, the main focus was on the introduction of foreign advanced technology, and there were three important technology introductions: Soviet technology in the 1970s, Japanese technology in the early 1980s, and German technology in the early 1990s. Restricted by the level of science and technology at that time, the lifting capacity of truck cranes before the 1990s was relatively small, between 8 tons and 25 tons, and the technology was not mature. In terms of brand models, the original Taian QY series truck cranes are well received by users.
After China’s entry into the WTO in 2001, the domestic demand for truck cranes has grown, and the market has also stimulated manufacturers to produce products with higher quality, stronger performance, better safety, and better meet the needs of work. After entering the 21st century, many domestic truck crane manufacturers have carried out mergers and acquisitions, and the domestic truck crane industry with Zoomlion, Sany Heavy Industry, Xugong and Liugong as the new main force has entered the stage of independent research and development. With the joint venture between Tai’an Dongyue and Manitowoc of the United States, and the joint venture between Changjiang Qigong and Terex of the United States, foreign manufacturers have also joined the competition of domestic truck cranes.
With the development of the crane industry, the improvement of the technical level has made it possible to improve the lifting capacity of the crane, and the potential of the truck crane in terms of flexibility, lifting capacity and effective working space has been gradually tapped to meet the needs of different jobs. After entering the 21st century, the lifting capacity of the new generation of truck cranes is getting higher and higher, and the technology is becoming more and more mature.
From 2005 to 2010, there was a general boom in the construction machinery industry, and the sales of truck cranes also hit new highs. After years of rapid development, truck cranes have reached the world’s leading level. In November 2010, XCMG’s large-tonnage truck crane QY160K made a magnificent appearance at the Shanghai Bauma Exhibition. QY160K is currently the largest truck crane in the world.
Since 2011, the truck crane industry and the entire construction machinery industry have been in a downturn. However, infrastructure construction is still unstoppable, the demand for truck cranes is still strong in the future, and manufacturers and users are eagerly looking forward to the return of the peak season. The adjusted truck crane market will be more standardized and orderly, and we are also looking forward to the emergence of more and better truck crane products.
